Charlotta Hedberg is Professor in Human geography. Her research focusses on migration in relation to international labour, transnational networks and rural and peripheral regions.
Charlotta Hedberg is Professor in Human geography. Her research focusses on migration and mobility, particularly international and rural migration. Her current research relates to international labour migration, through the example of Thai berry pickers in Sweden, which has been analysed ethnographically from a transnational and translocal perspective. Hedberg has also performed register based studies, analysing labour market careers and internal migration of international migrants in Sweden. Recent research also concerns the relation between place, rurality and migration.
